Each season a different special project is chosen for sponsorship by the Alumni Recognition Initiative.

This season (2024-2025) we have extended our goal of creating a brand new Mother Ginger. It has turned out to be a bigger challenge than we expected, so we were able to make some repairs to our existing puppet for the current production. This will allow more time for the fundraising and collaboration necessary to produce our best Mother Ginger yet! We greatly appreciate your continued support of this BIG endeavor! 2023-2024

The Alumni Recognition Initiative raised funds to support a multi-year intiative to create a brand new Mother Ginger. This is a very large undertaking and will take a number of years of planning and support for MCB to have a new Mother Ginger.

2022-2023

2020-2021

The Alumni Recognition Initiative funded the costs of filming and producing Clara’s Tri-Cities Nutcracker Dream, MCB's film version of our traditional holiday performance produced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-2020

The Alumni Recognition Initiative donations funded the creation of a Nutcracker Photo Booth unique to our 2^nd Act design that will be enjoyed by generations to come.

2018-2019

The Alumni Recognition Initiative donations funded the addition of a grandfather clock with a digital face for The Nutcracker set. This new piece was designed and fabricated by Greg Elder, the scenic designer behind the beautiful set so familiar to Tri-Cities audiences.
